Reviews
I purchased this calendar with the intention of everyone in my family picking 2 months to color: their birth month and an extra... a fun family project if you will. We are lucky that in our family of 6, nobody shares a birth month. The 2 boys in the family, my husband and son, did not care much to participate, so they've only colored their birth months, somewhat. So if you purchase this with delusions that everyone will pitch in, make sure you are ready to color more than you expected to!I like the thick, smooth texture of the paper throughout the calendar. It makes for smooth writing whether you wish to use a pencil, pen, marker, etc on not just the pictures, but also on the date squares. Some calendars have slippery/glossy paper where you write in the date squares that makes it difficult to write with certain pens, and impossible to write in pencil, but not this one.The date squares are generous sizes. I am able to write in my monthly obligations with plenty of room for schedules, birthdays, etc. Each square is approximately 1.5" wide, by 1.75" tall. (Or if you like fractions: 1½"w x 1¾"h)The pictures are lovely, and have been easy to color with colored pencils. I don't use anything fancy- just your regular ol' crayola colored pencils you can purchase anywhere. I will say that if you are coloring all at once so you can hang it and forget it, the colored pencil does rub off on the page it is touching. Just something to think about.I recommend this calendar for anyone who loves to color! Or as a gift to someone who loves coloring.(*I purchased this with my own money. All opinions are my own. Thanks for reading!)
